menculik miyabi alias mulyani


people are talking about Film Menculik Miyabi, and now, World Bank also do the same thing, but they are not kidnapping Miyabi, but World Bank is kidnapping Sri Mulyani (Menculik Sri Mulyani). Why ?

The World Bank appointed Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati as the World Bank Managing Director who supervises three regions, after conducting internationally selection. World Bank praises Sri Mulyani's capability.

World Bank President, Robert B. Zoellick valuated, Sri Mulyani as a person who played an important role to Indonesia's economy so that successfully weathered the financial crisis, including the implementation of key reforms. Sri Mulyani also managed to get the respect from many parts of the world.

"Sri Mulyani Indrawati has a unique combination of skills and experience to the World Bank Group, from a vantage point of middle-income countries which still face challenges of significant poverty. She has been recognized globally for her success fighting corruption and strengthening good governance," said Zoellick in a press release on Wednesday (05/05/2010).

"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sri Mulyani. She has become the minister of Finance with well of knowledge in development issues and the role of the World Bank Group," he added.

Sri Mulyani will become director of the World Bank for the three regions namely Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa, East Asia and the Pacific. Sri Mulyani also will take care of Information System Group.

Sri Mulyani is an Economic Department Indonesia University graduate and earned her PhD in economics from the University of Illinois, USA. Sri Mulyani many times also included in the list of 100 Influential Women by Forbes Magazine.

Before becoming Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani has also served as Minister of State for National Development Planning / Head of Bappenas in 2008-2009. Sri Mulyani also serves as the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs when the post was abandoned Boediono.

Responding to her appointment as Director of the World Bank, Sri Mulyani, who recently became 'target' Century case claimed that she felt proud.

"It is a honor for me and also my country to get a chance to contribute to the World Bank mission which is very important to change the world," said Sri Mulyani.
